As is well known, there is basically no off-season sales market for lychees in Guangdong, and good technology must serve demand in order to truly realize its value. The technology of vacuum refrigeration for high-quality pure physical preservation for more than 42 days is a very practical problem, which is how to ground the air and how to play a role. You don't need to give charcoal in the snow, but at least add the icing on the cake! Through visits and discussions with multiple leading lychee enterprises in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, our company has summarized the following four most prominent pain points in terms of preservation for the sustainable development of the lychee industry. Pain point 1: fear of staying overnight after harvesting lychees
Due to the existence of this pain point, local fruit farmers have to wake up early every day to pick lychees, race against the clock to sort, pack, and box them. The shelf life of lychees after staying overnight is longer, and the shelf life at room temperature is longer. The production season of Guangdong lychees coincides with the rainy season, and rainfall is a high probability event. After lychees are wetted by rain on rainy days, traditional techniques are very difficult to preserve. Even if they are picked and shipped with luck, they are easily rejected or claimed by consumers due to preservation issues. As a result, fruit farmers are hesitant to pick and sell lychees on rainy days, seriously affecting sales performance and income. By utilizing the efficient preservation ability of the vacuum refrigerated storage, fruit farmers can harvest a large number of lychees in advance according to weather forecasts and store them in the vacuum refrigerated storage. Even if it rains continuously for one or two weeks, they are not afraid of it, and there are also fresh lychees available for shipment and sales. As mentioned above, lychees stored in a vacuum refrigerated warehouse for 20 days are also crystal clear, not much different from those just picked from trees, and have a better shelf life, especially at room temperature. Pain point 3: Litchi logistics costs are too high
Currently, in cities far from lychee producing areas, fresh and delicious lychees are mostly consumed by air freight, resulting in very high logistics costs. Consumers who purchase lychees for 200 yuan usually have a shipping fee of 100 yuan. After short-term decompression treatment, lychee has a better shelf life, especially at room temperature. It can be safely transported to various parts of the country, including remote areas such as Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, through cold chain highways, significantly reducing the logistics and transportation costs of lychee. Reduce the dependence of lychee logistics on aviation, so that lychee shipping costs no longer account for half of the selling price. It can also allow many logistics companies with slightly lower competitiveness to take orders for lychee cold chain transportation more calmly without worrying about preservation issues, which will also significantly save shipping costs.
Pain point 4: Lychee is afraid of staying overnight at the distribution center
Many lychee production and sales enterprises have distribution centers in cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, and Chengdu. Litchi is transported to distribution centers through cold chain trucks and then distributed to various surrounding urban and rural areas. If for some reason, lychees are not transported in a timely manner on the same day, allowing lychees to stay overnight at the distribution center will be a very frustrating thing for lychee enterprises. The probability of lychees being rejected and claimed by consumers after staying overnight is unbearable.
